A few words about us

ART-RAM Woodworking Company, run by Edward Kudyba, is a woodworking firm with over 32 years of experience in the industry. We specialise in crafting frames for paintings, blank canvases, and canvas stretchers. Additionally, we provide easels and palettes, along with services for stretching images printed on canvas-type materials. We also offer framing services for oil paintings and other artworks.

Our history

My name is Edward Kudyba, and I am the owner of the “ART-RAM” company. Our team comprises skilled carpenters who pour their hearts into every stage of production. It has been 30 years since we started serving artists and art enthusiasts. From a small building in our backyard to a 2500 m2 production facility, we have consistently maintained the highest quality of our products.
Over the years, we have developed an offering tailored to diverse customer needs. Our personalised approach to every order enables us to meet the expectations of even the most demanding artists.

We use solid pine wood in our production, which is seasoned and then dried. Pine wood is characterised by the presence of very few well-grown knots in properly matured wood. Our suppliers hold FSC certification, allowing us to source wood while preserving the vitality and biological richness of forests. All the wood in our production is used in an environmentally friendly manner. We support reforestation initiatives. Additionally, the residual wood product from our production is used to supply heat to our factory, ensuring sustainable practices.

Materials

The best and most highly regarded canvas material is LINEN, available in various weights. It is characterised by its high durability, absorbency, adhesion, and texture. It doesn’t warp under the “weight” of paint.
ART-RAM linen canvases are made from the highest quality linen. It is prepared and processed using traditional methods. The canvas is manually impregnated, with the first step involving the application of hot bone glue. After an appropriate period, three layers of acid-free acrylic gesso are applied. The product is natural, which means that sometimes the colour might slightly vary in batches. Our production linen is perfect for use in all forms of acrylic, oil, and other techniques. Due to the durable nature of linen, it is particularly suitable for heavier applications.
